How do I transfer courses from other colleges into Goodwin?

All students who are requesting transfer credits must secure an official transcript on their own.  Goodwin College does not request collegiate transcripts for any student or for any reason.  Contact each college/university you attended and request that an official transcript be sent to the following address:

Goodwin College

c/o Registrar’s Office

745 Burnside Avenue

East Hartford, CT 06108

How much time do I have to get my official transcript from other colleges into Goodwin?

Students are strongly encouraged to request that their official transcript from all other colleges they have attended be on file with the Registrar’s Office by the end of their first semester (15 weeks).

How do I know what will transfer in and what it will transfer in as?

Students should be aware that not all college credits are transferable. Course credits are transferred when:
(1) the course has been taken at a regionally accredited, degree-granting institution,
(2) the grade earned is a “C” or better, and
(3) the course is applicable to a degree program at Goodwin

In some instances a student may receive credit based on their life experiences.  Students should see their Academic Advisor for additional information.

You will receive a letter from Goodwin College once your credits have been evaluated.  Once you receive the letter make an appointment with your advisor or program director to find out how the credits apply to your program.  For greater details see the Student Handbook.
