  Graduation Application

Students ready to graduate must complete an Application for Graduation and submit it to the Registrar's office for evaluation.  Click here to download.

A candidate for graduation will be evaluated under the catalog in effect at the time of admission.  If the candidate changed programs, the catalog used shall be the one in effect at the time of the program change.  Candidates who have not met all of the requirements for graduation will be notified by the Registrar's office.

Graduation Requirements

Please read for important announcements regarding new graduation procedures.

  1.  All students must now apply for graduation with their department chairs. Applications are available through the department chairs and the Registrar’s Office.

  2. Those students who are completing their program of studies at the end of the Fall Semester must apply for graduation by October 1, 2006.

  3. Those students who are completing their program of studies between January 1 and August 26, 2007 must apply for graduation by March 1, 2007.

  4. Students who do not apply by the deadlines will not be sent graduation information because their names will not be forwarded to the graduation coordinator.

  5. The Registrar’s Office will review your academic file for completion of program requirements ONLY when an application has been received.

  6. Once the Registrar’s Office has determined that a student is eligible for graduation, they will forward the student’s name to Financial Aid, Accounting, and Default Management for final clearance.

  7. Students will be notified in writing if it is determined that they are not eligible for graduation. The notification will specify what still remains incomplete.

  8. Students must respond in a timely manner to any graduation correspondence that they receive. Students who do not meet deadlines will not be allowed to walk in the graduation ceremony.

Graduation marks an important achievement and it requires much coordination between the Academic Office, the Registrar’s Office, and the Graduate Services Office. Students must apply on time in order to insure that records and transcripts can be carefully reviewed and verified, and that every student who participates in the ceremony is able to do so with all the pomp and circumstance that this event deserves.
