ESL Faculty…
Alina Ciscel
Alina Ciscel, Director of the ESL program at Goodwin College, holds a
Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina. She
has teaching ESL for more than ten years. Her favorite teaching activities
include development of speaking skills and listening comprehension. As a
non-native speaker of English, Alina relates to her ESL students’
experiences along “the rocky road” to their target – mastering the English
language. So, come to Goodwin College, and she’ll help you climb towards
YOUR target!
Mary Ellen Rund
Mary Ellen Rund has been a member of the Goodwin College family since 1993
and the ESL Department for over ten years. She feels that teaching English
to adults from all over the world has been an extremely satisfying and
rewarding experience. Mary Ellen knows that learning, although difficult
at times, can be fun!
Linda Fellows
The newest member of the ESL Department is Linda Fellows. She earned her
Master’s degree in education, with a specialty in reading and language,
from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford, Connecticut. Through her
various careers in business, professional writing, self-employment, art
and education, Linda brings a variety of experiences, ideas and activities
to her classroom. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and interacting with
students from different countries, and leaning about their cultures and
customs.
